How do I become a fully qualified Instructor and are there any costs to this?

After completing the four day course you should work with an existing Bikeability provider who is capable of mentoring you whilst you develop your skills further.  You have up to six months from your course to complete this.  You will be assessed by one of our assessors during an on-road cycle training session and if successful you will become a fully qualified Instructor enabling you to now go on to delivery Level Three of the National Standard.

This Post Course Assessment (PCA) costs £150.00 + VAT for up to two assessments: £95.00 + VAT for the first assessment and £55.00 + VAT for the second assessment if required.

Any Instructors working directly for Cycle Experience will receive their PCA’s free of charge.

The cost includes notification to the DfT for a change in your status and NSI number to fully qualified Instructor.

If our assessors have to travel outside of our regional areas there will be additional travel expenses (charged at cost).
