Safety is no accident (or perhaps it is….)
There seems to be a fashion for interactive road safety web games at the moment – see also Tales of the Road on the DfT site – and the main theme appears to be that small vulnerable cyclist or pedestrian gets smashed or dismembered by passing traffic.
This makes them great fun to play, if a touch ghoulish, but doesn’t convey any sensible message – or am I missing something?
Try this wild game from the Crucial Crew, made for North Yorkshire Road Safety. I gave up trying to steer my cyclist after about 30 seconds and just enjoyed the repeated carnage that ensued. Try it for yourself.
