Are you sitting comfortably?

So as soon as we train new cyclists to the National Standards we hope to see them cycling regularly. Often the saddle can limit the duration of a bike ride. We frequently are asked “What is the most comfortable saddle?” Here’s a new design worth considering. The official website is here.

Should high visibility waistcoats be part of school uniform?

James Walker undertaking research writes……

“School uniforms are usually dark colours which makes it difficult for motorists to see children on the way to and from school. It has been suggested that yellow high visibility waistcoats should be required by law for all children travelling to school. Possibly this would also include children travelling by school bus and by car because of the risks from the large amount of traffic movements immediately around schools or when they walk to bus pick-up points.

Falling Traffic Levels

Motor traffic levels have fallen for the first time in 30 years. “We need to both encourage cycling and make it safer through slowing down vehicles, ensuring the cycling infrastructure where provided is completed and encouraging the take-up of Bikeability training courses to create a generation of cyclist-aware car drivers.” We at Cycle Experience are UK training provider leaders for Bikeability.
